Los Hermanos Familia Mission: Los Hermanos Familia is organized exclusively to be a significant catalyst for promoting family engagement, encouraging awareness about social issues, especially those impacting families, more specifically to provide a positive environment for West Texas families and youth to learn the fundamental skills of nature, environmental stewardship, service, leadership, and cultural diversity.

Volunteer Opportunities

Pre-Parade Poster Delivery
Help distribute posters to promote the parade to local businesses in Lubbock, pick up candy, etc.
Pre-Parade Logistic Support
Help create number tags for vehicles participating in the parade.
Parade Check-In [Sold Out]
Help get parade participants checked in to the parade.
Parade Staging Traffic Control
Help the check-in line move and clear the staging area of cars not participating in the parade.
Primary Float Decorator
Help decorate the LHF, host the parade, and float.
Primary Float Walker/Candy Distributor from Float (In the Parade)
Walk/distribute candy with the LHF parade float.

I verify that all of the above information is true, complete, and correct, and I understand that if it is not, I am disqualifying myself to be a volunteer. I also understand that I am signing up to be a volunteer and that this is not an application for, nor a contract of paid employment. I further agree that as a Los Hermanos Familia volunteer, I will not accept any payment for my services. I acknowledge and understand that I will be asked to complete a background check for the nonprofit organization. By registering and/or by participating in the Veterans Day Parade you acknowledge that Los Hermanos Familia has the right to use photos and videos at the event for news, promotional purposes, and future marketing materials. By completing this registration form, the undersigned, Individually and on behalf of any participants in the registration form represented thereby (referred to collectively as “Applicant”), agrees to indemnify, save, and hold harmless Los Hermanos Familia organizers of the Veterans Day Parade, any Sponsor of said event, as well as any officer, director, employee, volunteer, representative or agent of Los Hermanos Familia, or any Sponsor of said event, from and against any and all suits, actions, losses, damages, causes of action and claims of liability of any character, type or description, including, but not limited to, expenses of litigation, court costs, attorney’s fees, and/or expert witness fees for any death or injury (real or alleged) to any person, organization or property, arising out of or occasioned by, directly or indirectly, any act or omission of Applicant and/ or additional registrants. The undersigned warrants that he/she has full authority to bind the Applicant and understands that Los Hermanos Familia is relying on such representation as a prerequisite to the consideration of this registration. Los Hermanos Familia is dedicated to making the Veterans Day Parade a safe place for all. If anyone in attendance displays unfit conduct at the event, Los Hermanos Familia has the right to have the individual removed, for the safety of other attendees.
